Jack and Sue Hurst are, we believe, our most long standing customers. Jack knew Andrew & Paul’s father John Scott, from the motor trade, in the 1950s in Leicester when he owned Stoneygate Garage, since he also worked in the car industry. Jack & Sue brought their first caravan from John Scott at the family caravan business of Quality Caravans, on the Melton Road in Leicester. That was nearly 50 years ago and the caravan was a new Mardon (Pictured Below Right). Jack & Sue continued to buy their caravans from the family business and from Andrew and Paul after John Scott retired in 1988. Finally in 2012 Jack (Being 85) and Sue decided to give up caravanning, However they missed it so much that 2 years later at 87 they came back to Andrew and brought another one. Unfortunately, Sue, Jack’s wife, has recently passed away and at the age of 90 Jack has decided to once again retire from caravanning. However when Andrew went to collect Jack’s caravan his son was there and having caravanned when his children were young, may be returning to caravanning and, who knows, Jack may join them….
