What Size Used Caravan Do You Need?
Posted on May 29, 2013
When you’re looking for a caravan the first thing you need to consider is what size you need. Caravans come in a variety of berths, depending on how many people you want to sleep in your caravan.
Which One is Best for You?
3 Berth Caravans:
Three berth caravans are ideal for couples; they’re smaller but offer plenty of space for two people. The dining area will normally fold away creating a sleeping area as well as space for another bed in a separate part of the caravan. The great thing about a three berth is if you decide to take someone else with you, a friend or a grandchild perhaps, you have the extra space to accommodate them.
4 Berth Caravans:
As their name suggests, four berth caravans can sleep up to four people. The general layout provides a dining area which will again fold away creating a double bed and then there will normally either be another seating area that doubles as another set of beds or there’ll be a bunk bed at one end of the caravan.
5 and 6 Berth Caravans:
These are ideal for families, offering plenty of space to live in and depending on how large your family is you may also have the option of taking other relatives or friends along for the ride too. When it comes to the larger berth caravans there are a lot more layout options to choose from. Some will have several seating areas that convert into beds; others will have double and sometimes even triple bunk beds. With a number of options to choose from it’s not hard to find a model that suits your family’s requirements.
