New Touring Caravans Return to Site on A4 in Padworth
Posted on May 24, 2013
On Friday 19th April, Saturday 20th April and Sunday 21st April The Caravan Company celebrated the return of new caravans from Swift, Sprite, Elddis and Buccaneer to their sales centre in West Berkshire, on the A4 between Reading and Newbury.
This site has been the place to go for your new touring caravan for over 50 years, when it was originally run as Collins Caravans. So well known was this location that the bus stop outside is named after the business.
The Caravan Company, the UK’s largest retailer of pre-owned touring caravans, purchased the site four years ago but this weekend saw the new 2013 models from Swift, Sprite, Elddis and Buccaneer available for purchase, alongside the extensive stock of second-hand models.
More than 400 families visited the site over the three days and as well as having the opportunity to view the 2013 models there was a face painter and bouncy castle for the children and complimentary refreshments and a BBQ for all.
The sun shone all weekend and business was very good. “It was great to see so many past customers returning to the site – together with a lot of new people who were keen to see what a modern touring caravan could offer to them and their families. Sales were exceptional for the weekend and we wish to thank all the people who supported us, especially from Swift, Sprite, Elddis and Buccaneer and the local team led by James Nolan” commented Paul Clarke, Managing Director.
