Touring Caravan Exports
Over the past 3 years we have exported towing caravans to New Zealand, Kuwait, Dubai, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Australia, to name just a few of the destinations.
The process is easy due to our association with the market-leading caravan Export Company and being the largest retailer of pre-owned touring caravans in the U.K.
All of our caravans can be viewed on our website which has an extensive number of photographs of the actual caravans along with written descriptions for each.
We have over 40 additional caravans per week arriving at our depots and many hundreds more that we have access to for our clients.
There is a straight-forward 8 step process that we take you through; keeping things as simple as possible. For further details see below.
Are You Interested?
Then Let's Begin!
1) CHOOSE YOUR CARAVAN
From our website, identify the caravan or caravans of interest. If you don't see what you are looking for then contact us by email (Exports@thecaravancompany.com)
Our export team can source a caravan with the right layout that suits you!
2) DISCUSS YOUR CHOICE
Once a suitable caravan is located, we can email as many photographs as required together with reports on overall condition.
3) PEACE OF MIND
All of our caravans are damp tested and CRIS checked; these reports will be forwarded to our clients.
The CRIS check is to ensure that the caravan has no outstanding finance, is not on the damage register and is not stolen. This gives complete peace of mind to our export clients.
Prior to despatch; your caravan will have a full AWS/NCC approved habitation service together with an in-depth pre-delivery inspection, this will include a full chassis service, gas and habitation check, carbon monoxide test and additional damp test as well as brake and damper adjustment. All of our export caravans are fitted with new tyres to the road wheels. The costs for the export habitation service are as follows;
Single-Axle = £230.00
Twin-Axle = £330.00
4) SHIPPING QUOTATION
At this stage our approved shipping company will contact you with details of the packing and shipping cost, together with the cost of transport to the U.K. port of an embarkation.
Our drivers will deliver the caravan to the designated U.K. port to ensure that the caravan arrives undamaged at the shipping company.
The majority of our export customers want to receive their caravans with the equipment they need to use it already on board.
So our caravans can be ordered with the export habitation pack for £380 which includes:
- 40 Litre Aqua Roll
- 40 Litre Waste Master
- Caravan Step
- 25m Mains Lead
- Waste Water Pipes
- Tow-Hitch Cover
- Fresh Water Pump
Gas bottles and batteries cannot be exported and must be sourced locally.
An optional security package consisting of a wheel clamp and hitch lock can also be supplied for £175.
Our export clients usually require an awning which we will happily supply to fit your chosen caravan. A new full-size awning typically costs around £700 depending on the size required.
Another optional extra which has proven to be very popular is the 'Thetford Freshen-Up Kit' which consists of a new toilet seat and cassette, this can be supplied for £99.
6) THE TOTAL COST
So, you now have a total cost for your caravan being:
- The caravan itself
- The export habitation service
- The shipping costs
- The accessories and optional extras
7) DECISION TIME
8) THE FINAL STEP
Having agreed the deal, your caravan will now go through the appropriate service as mentioned above.
The caravan is then given a full internal and external valet prior to despatch to the docks.
Whilst in possession, including delivery to the docks, the caravan is fully insured under our comprehensive policy however all goods must be paid for in full prior to leaving our premises and become the shipping company’s responsibility once delivered to the docks.
Once with the shipping company; all caravans are then re-cleaned, wrapped and professionally loaded into a shipping container prior to being exported.
Finally, we wish you many happy years caravanning in your home country.
